Bus Trip A bus trip will be made to the Longaberger basket festival at the Crayola Factory in Easton, Pa., April 9. Includes transportation from McConnellsburg to the factory, continental breakfast on the bus, snacks and drinks on the bus from start to finish and lots of games, goodies and prizes. Depart at 7:30 a.m. from McConnellsburg Alumni & Friends Assoc. building. Anyone interested in making baskets or available additional workshops should register at the time of reservations. Benefit Dance A benefit dance will be held April 9 at Mc- Connellsburg American Legion. Doors open at 5 p.m. and dance starts at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 per person. No one will be admitted without a ticket. Only a limited number of tickets will be sold. There will be door prizes, raffles, silent auctions and more. Must be 21 years old to attend. BiValley Softball Registration BiValley Travel softball registrations will be held for girls, ages 9-14, to fill the BiValley Travel 12U and 14U softball teams that participate in the Chambersburg Suburban League. Hunter Ed Course Fulton County Hunter Trapper Education course will be offered Wednesday, March 16, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Saturday, March 19, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Fulton County Pistol and Rifle Club. Preregister at PGC Web site at www.pgc.state.pa.us, click on Educaiton/ Hunter Education class schedule. Class limit is 65 students. Bring bag lunch for Saturday. Open Mic Night Open Mic Night will be held by the Easy Riders at Warfordsburg Senior Center, 209 Long Hollow Road, Warfordsburg, March 12, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This will be the first anniversary of mic night at the center. A free cup of soup will be given with a purchase of a hot dog or sandwich. All are welcome. Donation is $1. More information may be obtained by calling 717-294-6020.

Shooting Match Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will sponsor a shooting match Saturday, March 12, 19 and 26, beginning at 1 p.m. Shells will be furnished and prizes will be awarded.

Open Stage Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will sponsor an open stage on Saturday, March 26, at 6 p.m. The kitchen will open at 5 p.m. Admission is free. Everyone is welcome to attend and share talent or come and enjoy the talent of others.

FR Musical The Forbes Road Drama Club will be presenting the musical “Footloose” on March 17, 18 and 19, starting at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Tickets will be sold at the door or can be purchased in advance by calling 814-685-

3866, Ext. 208. All tickets are $6. A silent auction will be held all three nights in conjunction with the musical and a spaghetti dinner will be offered prior to the event on Friday and Saturday in the high school cafeteria.

New York City Trip Modern Woodmen of American Camp 7948 is sponsoring a bus trip to New York City Saturday, May 7. The bus departs McConnellsburg courthouse at 6 a.m. A stop will be made for breakfast at 8:15 a.m. and arrival in New York City at 11:30 a.m. Depart New York City near the Times Square area at 6:30 p.m. and a stop will be made halfway home for supper. Estimated arrival back in Mc- Conellsburg is 12:15 a.m. Cost for transportation and a buffet breakfast is $55 per person. Alumni Gym Open The alumni community gym in Mc- Connellsburg will be open from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for anyone who would like to get some exercise, walk or run. This is a free activity and open to all ages. If the Central Fulton School District is closed because of the weather, the gym will not be open. Any questions, please call Kathy J.
