Special Worship Services

The congregations of Mc- Connellsburg Lutheran Parish are pleased to announce several special worship services for the upcoming Lenten and Holy Week seasons. The theme for these special services will be “The Miracles of Lent.”

Six midweek worship services will be held on Wednesday evenings during Lent and will rotate between the three churches of the parish. The series begins with an Ash Wednesday serv- ice with Holy Communion on Wednesday, March 9, at 7 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 220 North Third Street, McConnellsburg. Services will then rotate on the following schedule, all beginning at 7:00 p.m.: Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 10987 Little Cove Road, Mercersburg, on March 16 and April 6, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 14660 Great Cove Road, Big Cove Tannery, on March 23 and April 13, and St. Paul Lutheran Church, McConnellsburg, on March 30.

McConnellsburg Lutheran Parish consists of the Lutheran congregations of St. Paul Lutheran Church, McConnellsburg; St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Big Cove Tannery; and Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Mercersburg. The parish is served by The Rev. Christopher W. Martin and is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Conference & Ministerium of North America (ELCM).
