Multiple Charges Filed
Multiple charges have been filed against a Mc- Connellsburg man in connection with a series of incidents that occurred in the McConnellsburg area on Saturday, February 26.
State police reported Alfred Bernard Claggett and Tyeisha Marie Spriggs were involved in an argument that turned physical outside of the Pub along Lincoln Way East. During the 1:01 a.m. altercation, Claggett allegedly placed his hand on Spriggs’ face and pushed her. Spriggs is accused of striking Claggett in the eye and tearing his shirt. Both Claggett and Spriggs were cited with harassment through Magisterial District Judge Wendy Mellott.
At 2:40 a.m., Claggett, 23, was reportedly involved in a fight with Antonio McNear, 21, also of McConnellsburg, at Cardinal Glen Apartments. State police reported McNear allegedly hit Claggett with an aluminum baseball bat, and Claggett struck McNear several times. Both individuals were arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Devin Horne and placed in Franklin County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
While troopers were investigating the fight between the two men, they reported Claggett exhibited disorderly behavior. Claggett was arrested and arraigned on the additional charge.
