Rising waters were affecting communities around Pittsburgh Monday, although no major problems were reported.

Flood warnings are in effect for a large swatch of westernPennsylvania stretching from Erie to Fayette County’s borders with Maryland and West Virginia. Much of southeastern Pennsylvania, including Philadelphia, is under a flood watch.

An earlier tornado watch for nine western Pennsylvania counties has expired.
