Record Crowd Attends Warfordsburg Senior Citizens Mic Night

Love and romance filled the air at Mic Night on Saturday, February 12. Couples danced with their sweetheart or someone else’s and everyone enjoyed the event and entertainment. The old time love songs inspired older couples to reminisce about the “good old days.” There were solos, duets, group sing-a-longs and instrumentals. New faces including children stepped on stage, entertaining the audience with singing, banjos and guitars. Violin, a keyboard and numerous guitar players filled the stage. “Tony” the tiger, wearing a red bow, joined the crowd until a member of the audience claimed him as a prize. A huge Valentine floral arrangement was another gift that brightened the evening. Refreshments were a nonstop item throughout the evening. Make plans now to “March Into Spring” at the next Mic Night, Saturday, March 12, starting at 6 p.m., which will be the first anniversary of Mic Night at the center.
