Others of us are glad we are still in one piece after learning how to ice skate everywhere we tried to walk for several weeks. (Who says we don’t get much exercise in the winter?) We are so thankful for the sunshine and even the rain that took the snow and ice away.
Ken and Jean Brown are up to their ankles in mud and would much rather have snow making everything so much prettier and cleaner! With the high winds we have been having, even the mud won’t be here long.

Three Springs Fire Co. will host a chicken and waffles dinner on Sunday, March 20, beginning at 11 a.m.
Angel Wings will host a second annual “spring fling craft show” on Saturday, March 12, and Sunday, March 13, at the Orbisonia Lions building. There will be 17 local vendors and good food available both days.
There will be a cash party at the Shade Gap Auxiliary building on Saturday, March 26. Tickets are available from any Shade Gap Fire Co. or auxiliary member, as well as at Penn Central P.T. and Wakefield’s Auto Parts in Shade Gap.
The Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will be holding shooting matches at the firehall every Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. until further notice. The fire company ladies auxiliary is now accepting reservations for banquets, parties and events. The fire company also has a food trailer it takes to public sales and events.
