Shooting Match Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will sponsor a shooting match March 5, 12, 19 and 26, beginning at 1 p.m. Shells will be furnished.

Free Movie The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will host a free movie with snacks on Saturday, March 26, at 2 p.m. in Penn’s Village Shoping Center. “The Inheritance” will be shown.

Bus Trip A bus trip will be made to the Longaberger basket festival at the Crayola Factory in Easton, Pa., April 9. Includes transportation from McConnellsburg to the factory, continental breakfast on the bus, snacks and drinks on the bus from start to finish and lots of games, goodies and prizes. Depart at 7:30 a.m. from McConnellsburg Alumni & Friends Assoc. building. Anyone interested in making baskets or available additional workshops should register at the time of reservations. Prom Fashion Show Hancock Lioness Club will sponsor a prom fashion show event Saturday, March 5, at Hancock American Legion at 6 p.m. Fashions will be presented by David’s Bridal and Men’s Warehouse. Donations of $8 will benefit the causes that the Lions Club supports.

Hunter Ed Course Fulton County Hunter Trapper Education course will be offered Wednesday, March 16, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Saturday, March 19, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Fulton County Pistol and Rifle Club. Preregister at PGC Web site at www.pgc.state.pa.us, click on Educaiton/ Hunter Education class schedule. Class limit is 65 students. Bring bag lunch for Saturday. Farm, Forest & Home Expo Penn State Cooperative Extension is hosting the second annual Laurel Highlands Farm, Forest and Home Expo at the Living and Learning Conference Center at University of Pitt-Johnstown on Friday, March 11, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The expo will feature more than 30 educational sessions on an array of topics that will be of interest to area dairy and crop farmers, potato growers, commercial vegetable growers, gardeners, homeowners, livestock producers, woodlot owners and horse enthusiasts. In addition, some sessions have been approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture for pesticide recertification credits. Open Mic Night Open Mic Night will be held by the Easy Riders at Warfordsburg Senior Center, 209 Long Hollow Road, Warfordsburg, March 12, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This will be the first anniversary of mic night at the center. A free cup of soup will be given with a purchase of a hot dog or sandwich. All are welcome. Donation is $1. More information may be obtained by calling 717-294-6020.

Open Stage Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will sponsor an open stage on Saturday, March 26, at 6 p.m. The kitchen will open at 5 p.m. Admission is free. Everyone is welcome to attend and share talent or come and enjoy the talent of others.

FR Musical The Forbes Road Drama Club will be presenting the musical “Footloose” on March 17, 18 and 19, starting at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Tickets will be sold at the door or can be purchased in advance by calling 814-685- 3866, Ext. 208. All tickets are $6. A silent auction and spaghetti dinner will also be held all three evenings.

Soccer Registration Warfordsburg Area Soccer (WAYS) will hold registration for one day only on Saturday, March 5, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Dott Store. No late registrations can be accepted. More information may be obtained by calling 294-3001.

New York City Trip Modern Woodmen of American Camp 7948 is sponsoring a bus trip to New York City Saturday, May 7. The bus departs McConnellsburg courthouse at 6 a.m. A stop will be made for breakfast at 8:15 a.m. and arrival in New York City at 11:30 a.m. Depart New York City near the Times Square area at 6:30 p.m. and a stop will be made halfway home for supper. Estimated arrival back in Mc- Conellsburg is 12:15 a.m. Cost for transportation and a buffet breakfast is $55 per person. Alumni Gym Open The alumni community gym in Mc- Connellsburg will be open from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for anyone who would like to get some exercise, walk or run. This is a free activity and open to all ages. If the Central Fulton School District is closed because of the weather, the gym will not be open. Any questions, please call Kathy J. Hall Walking McConnellsburg SADD offers hall walking at McConnellsburg High School starting at 5:30 p.m., to 7 p.m. Hall walking in the high school will be every Tuesday and Thursday with the last day on Thursday, March 24.
