Chambersburg Man Accused Of Indecent Assault
Following up on a tip by a Fulton County Services for Children caseworker, troopers picked up Thomas John Tomlinson, currently of 1652 Richardson Drive, Chambersburg, on Friday, February 18, on 30 counts of indecent assault and 10 counts each of indecent exposure, corruption of minors and unlawful contact with a minor.
Lead investigator Trooper Angela Madden revealed the suspected abuse occurred between 2001 and 2006 when Tomlinson, 41, resided in a trailer court located in Todd Township. Madden, along with the county children and youth agency, learned about the alleged incidents involving Tomlinson in May 2010 when a 14-year-old boy disclosed to a therapist he was repeatedly molested.
In an affidavit of probable cause, Trooper Madden stated the juvenile maintained the assaults occurred about once every two months and totaled “probably more than 10 times.” He was between the ages of 5 and 11 when they happened.
Tomlinson was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Wendy Mellott Friday afternoon following his arrest by state police.
