Anna M. Strausner Moser
Anna M. Strausner Moser, 84, a resident of Fulton County Medical Center Long Term Care Unit in McConnellsburg, and formerly of Greencastle, died at 11:15 p.m., Monday February 14, 2011, in the nursing center.
Born September 8, 1926, near Williamson, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Roy and Martha (Skiles) Barnhart.
She had worked at the former GEM Garment Co. of Greencastle, Mercersburg Dress Factory and at St. Paul’s Day Care Center of Chambersburg.
She was a member of the Macedonia United Brethren Church near Greencastle. She attended Greencastle High School and enjoyed sewing and making quilts.
Surviving family are one son, Paul, and wife Diane Strausner Jr. of Greencastle; one daughter, Margaret, and husband Raymond Seville, McConnellsburg; one brother, Blaine Barnhart, Greencastle; one stepson, Woodrow Moser Jr., Greencastle; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; several step-grandchildren; and step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Strausner Sr.; second husband, Woodrow Moser Sr.; a daughter, Linda Strausner, two brothers, three sisters, one stepson, Wayne Moser; and a stepdaughter, Saundra Alleman.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 18, at 11 a.m., from the Macedonia United Brethren Church near Greencastle with Rev. Gayle Ruble Sr. officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, on Thursday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and at the church one hour before the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the building fund of Macedonia United Brethren Church, 11887 Worleytown Rd., Greencastle, PA 17225.
