Three Passengers Injured In I-70 Collision
Three individuals from Delta, Ohio, suffered various injuries and were taken to area hospitals after the eastbound 2003 Ford Escape they were passengers in slid into an embankment and rolled over.
State police said Tammy L. Throwbridge, 25, was transported to Hagerstown Hospital by Hancock EMS for treatment of unknown injuries following the Saturday, January 15, accident on Interstate 70. In addition, juvenile passengers Titus N. Throwbridge and Gloria G. Throwbridge, were flown to Hershey Medical Center.
The trio were injured when 27-year-old Roger R. Throwbridge, also of Delta, fell asleep at the wheel of his vehicle while travelling through Bethel Township. Roger Throwbridge awakened and jerked the wheel, causing the car to slide into an embankment and overturn.
The Throwbridge family were all wearing seat belts or secured properly in child safety seats. Roger Throwbridge has been cited by state police for careless driving.
