Woman’s Beef Against Pittsburgh Officer Upheld

PITTSBURGH (AP) – Pittsburgh’s Office of Municipal Investigations has sided with a woman who says a city officer falsely accused her of attacking a witness against her son.

Officer Anthony Scarpine charged Christine Condarcure, of North Apollo, after filing a police affidavit saying he saw her throw an elbow or forearm into a witness who was leaving a courtroom after testifying against Condarcure’s son.

OMI investigates citizen complaints against police and determined that surveillance video showed Condarcure hadn’t struck the witness and determined the officer wasn’t present to witness it.
