Man Hospitalized After Car Struck By 2 Trains
HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) – A newspaper says a man is hospitalized after his car was struck by two trains traveling in opposite directions.
Harrisburg police told The Patriot-News that the man drove onto the tracks near 13th and Paxton streets early Thursday.
Norfolk Southern spokesman Rudy Husband says a westbound train struck the car first and pushed it into the path of an eastbound train early Thursday morning. Husband says the incident was reported at 2:50 a.m.
The newspaper says the man was pulled out of the vehicle by rescue crews and taken to Hershey Medical Center. His name was not released.
