Robert Hetrick Hunter
Born July 14, 1924, to Gilbert and Francis Hunter, Bob is survived by his wife of 32 years, Rosella (Cooper) Hunter; daughter: B. Lindell Ramsey; sons Bradley and Brian Kendall; six grandchildren: Jackie Mellott, Jeffrey Mellott, McConnellsburg; Priscilla Kendall, Dylan Kendall, Megan Kendall and Matthew Kendall, all of Florida; three great-grandchildren: Katelyn Mellott, Dillon Clevenger and Hannah Glenn, McConnellsburg; and sisters: Mary Shaffer, Kathy Thomas, Frances Hunter, Joy Chesney and Doris Sowers.
Mr. Hunter was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia D. Hunter, in 1964; his parents; three brothers: Dale, Dallas and Gilbert Jr.; and a sister, Nancy Weaver.
Mr. Hunter resided in Mc- Connellsburg before relocating his family to Florida in 1980. He worked most of his life in construction, having worked all over the world in his profession. While living in McConnellsburg, Bob worked for P & W Excavating. Bob was a veteran, having served in the Navy during two wars. He survived the bombing of the destroyer U. S. S. Hambleton, in which many lives were lost.
He was a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the VFW.

A memorial military graveside service will be held at a later date, which will be published for all those who wish to attend.
Interment will be in Union Cemtery.
