Sympathy goes out to the family of Reed Lynch, who passed away last week. Reed was well known in the community. He coached a Little League team, was active in the fire company for years and was the late Dale Keebaugh’s right-hand man for a number of years.

Public Opinion Athlete of the Week was Chelsie Eader of Southern Fulton. She plays the position of point guard for the Southern Fulton Indians girls basketball team.She is a senior and the daughter of Cheyenne and Penny Eader.

Tony and Martina Mc- Garvery celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary on January 16.

Jim and Marian Sickles will observe their 52nd wedding anniversary on January 23.

Sympathy goes out to the family of Dale Keebaugh, a former longtime businessman in town, who passed away on Saturday at his home.

Public Opinion weekly honor roll student athletes were Brett Burger, Kaili Hockenberry, Forbes Road; Seth Hall, Southern Fulton; and Libby Strayer, Mc- Connellsburg, for basketball.

A great many TVs were tuned in to watch the pro football playoffs that started over this past weekend to see who will be the final ones to play on Super Bowl Sunday.

Monday was a holiday, the 25th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday.
