Financial Peace University Course Needmore Bible Church will be hosting a 13-week Financial Peace Univeristy course beginning Sunday, January 30, at 4:30 p.m. FPU is a life-changing program that teaches how to achieve financial goals by eliminating debt, saving for the future and giving like never before. Teen Art Contest Teen Art Contest entries must be submitted on Saturday, February 5, 2011, from noon to 2 p.m., at Fulton County Library, McConnellsburg. Rules and entry forms are available at the library and at the library’s Web site. All entries will be displayed at Fulton County Library, Mc- Connellsburg, February 7-19, 2011. Snacks and drinks will be gratefully accepted at the open house on February 19, 2011, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

AARP Tax Help Free tax help and e-filing is available for taxpayers with low or middle income. Any age, not just elderly, at Fulton Theatre behind F&M Trust, McConnellsburg, every Wednesday starting February 2 to April 13, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers wil prepare federal, state, local and rent and property tax rebate. Please bring all the following: last year’s income tax returns, current years tax forms such as W- 2s, 1099-Int., 1099-Div. 1099-B, 1099-R, Social Security, etc. Must have last year’s taxes to be able to e-file. No business or farms. There are 10 preparers who are certified by the IRS. More information may be obtained by calling 717-987- 3915. No parking on F&M Trust parking lot.

Master Gardener Class Fulton County Cooperative Extension is currently recruiting for the 2011 Master Gardener class. Candidates can get involved locally with the pollinator/ demonstration garden at the Lions Park, landscaping one garden at the Fulton County Medical Center, giving work-

shops, speaking to groups, and in many other activities that are being developed. Classes will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday afternoons at the extension office located in the old IGA building, beginning March 1 and continuing for 13 weeks. The fee is $100 and includes a manual and training. Those interested may call 485-4111 for futher information.

Electronic Collection Event Recycle unwanted computer and electronics equipment Saturday, January 22, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 610 E. North St., McConnellsburg (warehouse in back beside American Legion). Continued collection will be January 17-21 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Fulton County Conservation District Office, 216 North Second Street. Not accepted will be small kitchen appliances, batteries, lamps, vacuum cleaners, irons, fluorescent tubes and bulbs. Drop off personal computers, laptops, mainframe computers, hard drives, circuit board, printers, modems, answering machines, CD players, DVD players, VCRs, cell phones, copiers, electronic games, fax machines, pagers, PDAs, radios, testing eqiupment, microwave ovens, telephones and telephone equipment, tape players and other consumer electronics.
