Farm Show Champion Market Lamb Hails From Champion, Fayette County

In his final show as a junior exhibitor, Ryan Witt, from Champion, Fayette County, was awarded Grand Champion Market Lamb honors at the 2011 Pennsylvania Farm Show on Sunday, Jan. 9.

Witt first was awarded Champion Crossbred Heavyweight, then Champion Crossbred to lead up to his big finale. With a humble handshake he thanked the judge for the honors.

Witt topped nearly 250 market lamb entries, of which 124 will be sold to market at the Junior Livestock Sale on Tuesday, Jan. 11.

The Reserve Grand Champion Market Lamb was exhibited by Delaney Carey, Mountoursville, Lycoming County. Carey received Reserve Grand Champion honors in 2010, and has exhibited at the Pennsylvania Farm Show for many years.
