County Conducts Routine Business

The Fulton County commissioners attended to a variety of business on Tuesday that ranged from signing off on grants and waivers to software and equipment purchases.

Commissioner Bonnie Mellott Keefer was authorized to sign documentation accepting the Criminal Justice Advisory Board (CJAB) initiatives grant. The $57,198 in funding will be used to purchase audiovisual equipment for the courtroom.

Keefer also signed off on the Justice Assistance Grant local jurisdiction waiver for the Fulton County Partnership to apply for Communities that Care funding. The money will be used to implement the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program in the three county school districts.

Keefer executed the certification for the Household Hazardous Waste event that was previously held on September 18, 2010.

The commissioners approved the five-year lease of a copier from the Phillips Group for their office. The copier’s monthly lease rate is $165.

Software for an identification card printing system will be purchased for the Sheriff’s Office at an amount not to exeed $1,000.
