From The Files Of January 10, 1991

A Three Springs area man died last Thursday afternoon, January 3, from injuries suffered in a onevehicle accident on January 1 along Route 522 in Huntingdon County. Police said that Joseph Rogers, 66, Three Springs, was critically injured during the accident. He was extricated from the wreckage and taken to J.C. Blair Hospital and was then flown to Conemaugh Valley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Three to five inches of snow fell during the early morning hours of Monday. The snow forced closings of all three county schools and caused cancellations, slippery road conditions and the usual array of inconveniences to adults. For children, it meant a day of walking, sled-riding, snow shoveling, or just plain fun.

Mr. and Mrs. Andy Washabaugh hosted a gala New Year’s Eve party for their many friends and family members in the Fulton Motor Sales showroom. Live music and dancing added to the festivities which brought in the new year.
