Three Springs Baby First Of New Year At J.C. Blair

Blair LPN Betty Younker. J.C. Blair New Year’s Baby Colson Lee Holden, of Three Springs, arrived at 1:59 p.m. on January 1, 2011, to become J.C. Blair’s first delivery of the new year. He weighed 6 pounds, 9.6 ounces and measured 19 inches long when delivered by obstetrician/ gynecologist Dr. Kenneth Lee. Grandparents are Gary Holden, Shirleysburg; Donna Brown, Three Springs; Roger and Betty Rhodes, McConnellsburg; and the late Robert L. Sowers.

J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital and Safe Kids of Huntingdon County presented the newborn a safety kit that included a convertible car seat and a bag filled with plug protectors, cabinet locks, a smoke and fire alarm (from the Huntingdon Kiwanis Club), a baby bath temperature tester, window blind cord windups, door knob covers, furniture wall straps, and baby spoon from the auxiliary to J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, and a variety of other health and safety items, books and brochures.

J.C. Blair and Safe Kids Huntingdon County are seeking to provide all newborns at J.C. Blair with a newborn safety kit with the help of sponsors. If interested in making a donation to purchase safety items, please contact J.C. Blair’s Community Relations Office at 814-643-8833.
