Forbes Road 63, Maryland School for Deaf 44

Forbes Road earned a spot in the championship round of the Teddy Thanos Tournament after downing the Maryland School for the Deaf in the opening round Monday night. During the 63-44 win, Kaili Hockensmith led both the offensive and defensive effort with 21 points and nine rebounds. Kylynne Fraker totalled 12 points, while Shania Gelvin added nine. Jessica Gearhart rounded out the game with seven points, nine rebounds and five steals.

Tussey Mountain 48,

Southern Fulton 37

Tussey Mountain totalled 13 points in three separate quarters last Thursday to cruise to a 48-37 Sideling Hill League win over Southern Fulton. Lacey Beatty hit double figures with 11 points, while Macey Hollenshead added 10 points. Chelsie Eader and Taelor Morton both tallied six points during the match.

Southern Fulton 57,

Hyndman 20

The Southern Fulton Indians held Hyndman to nine points or less in every quarter Tuesday night and went on to an easy 57-20 Sideling Hill League win. Taelor Morton totalled 13 points, while Lacey Beatty followed closely with 11. Chelsie Eader also had 11 points and chipped in six steals.

Chestnut Ridge 47,

McConnellsburg 30

McConnellsburg was held to nine points or less in every period Tuesday night, allowing Chestnut Ridge to wrap up the Sideling Hill League game 47-30. Nikki Fleming led the Lady Spartans’ scoring effort with eight points. Valerie Green added seven points and six rebounds.

McConnellsburg 55,

Hyndman 30

McConnellsburg hit double digits in every quarter and cruised to a 25-point Sideling Hill League win over the Hyndman Hornets. Nikki Fleming reached double figures with 19 points, and Santana Ramsey and Sarrah Pollock were the next highest scorers with eight points.

Northern Bedford 66,

Forbes Road 30

Forbes Road only managed to shoot 22 percent from the floor Wednesday and fell to Northern Bedford by 66-30. Kaili Hockensmith contributed six points, three steals and four blocked shots for the Cardinals, who also got nine points from Shayla Carmack.
