Breezewood Man Linked To Hit-And- Run
Thirty-year-old Herman W. Gracey of Breezewood is accused of crashing into guiderails along Route 30 and fleeing the scene of the accident in Licking Creek Township.
State police said Gracey was travelling eastbound at an estimated speed of 40 miles per hour when he reached for his cellphone at 9:35 a.m. and became distracted. Gracey’s 2005 Ford F-150 crossed the roadway and struck a guiderail. The truck again crossed the road and hit another guiderail.
Gracey, state police added, allegedly drove into a business parking lot and then fled the scene. The truck was disabled as a result of the damage. Gracey was wearing a seat belt and escaped injury.
