Beulah M. Clever
Mrs. Beulah M. “Boots” DeShong Clever, 90, a resident of Heritage Hills Retirement Community, and formerly of Greencastle, died at 7:15 a.m., Sunday, December 26, 2010, in Quincy Village where she was a 24-hour guest.
Born July 2, 1920, in Fulton County, she was the daughter of the late Harry N. and Arishia E. (Everts) DeShong. She lived her early life in the McConnellsburg area.
She attended Green Hill School in Fulton County.
She and her husband, the late Earl J. Clever, were married February 3, 1940, in Hagerstown. They moved to Greencastle in October 1945. Mr. Clever preceded her in death August 1, 2003. She entered the nursing home on July 6, 2006.
She was a member of Lutheran Gospel Mission Church, Greencastle.
She is survied by a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by eight sisters: Tiny Weir, Mary Johnson, Enza Tice, Lena Mc- Clain, Olive Shives, Ruth Hess, Minnie Youse and Nellie R. Shotts; and two brothers: George and Harry DeShong.
Services were held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 29, in Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, Greencastle. Rev. Brian Triller officiated. Burial was made in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
