’80 Temperatures dropped to near zero over the weekend, warming enough early in the week to promise a possible white Christmas by Thursday.

Legal Services Inc., the office that provides free legal assistance for the needy, has a new lawyer. She’s Margaret Biggs, 26, a native of Hackensack, N.J., and a recent graduate of the law school at Rutgers University in Newark, N.J.
