Our sympathy is extended to Harvey and Pat Berkstresser on the death of Pat’s sister, Ann, and also the death of a nephew.

Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will sponsor a hog shoot on Saturday, January 1, beginning at 1:00 p.m. There will be 11 regular rounds to qualify for the shoot. Various meat prizes will be given away. Shells will be furnished. Guns may be checked day of shoot if in question.

Household hint: To keep Christmas lights from getting tangled up wrap them around an empty wrapping paper tube or a rolled up newspaper when you store them. This makes it easier to put them on the tree next year. Just unroll gradually around the tree.
