Belleville Mennonite 36

Forbes Road evened out its season record at 1-1 Monday, racking up a 53-36 nonleague win over Belleville Mennonite. Chris Everts led both the offensive and defensive effort for the Cardinals, posting 14 points and 16 rebounds. Teammate Tanner Henry also recorded a double-double with 10 points, 13 rebounds and five blocked shots. Brett Burger scored 13 points as well.

Carlisle Christian 55,

Kenny Lininger netted a whopping 32 points Monday night during the Fulton County Community Christian School’s 55-42 loss at the hands of Carlisle Christian. Lininger also made six steals, while Skyler Gordon added 10 points.

Southern Huntingdon 33,

McConnellsburg 30

McConnellsburg opened the 2010-11 season on Friday with a narrow three-point loss to the Southern Huntingdon Rockets. Spartan Tony White totalled nine points, seven rebounds and three steals during the match, while Tyler Branche and Evan Appleby followed closely with eight and seven points, respectively.

Mount Union 54,

McConnellsburg 40

McConnellsburg dropped its second game of the season Saturday with a disappointing 54-40 loss to Mount Union. Evan Appleby tallied 10 points to lead the Spartans, while teammates Tony White and Jesse Swope both had eight points. White also contributed five steals and five rebounds, and Tyler Branche completed the match with seven points.

Huntingdon 43, Forbes Road 41

Forbes Road Cardinal Tanner Henry posted a double double Friday night with 15 points, 18 rebounds and six blocked shots for his team, which fell to Huntingdon in the season opener by the slim margin of 43-41. Chris Everts added eight points in the game, while teammate Brett Burger chipped in six points.
