CART Manager Spargo Wins 2011 Sherm Doebler Award


Dick Spargo, data and maintenance manager for the Area Agency on Aging’s CART program, has been named as recipient of the Pennsylvania Counties Risk Pool (PCoRP) prestigious Sherm Doebler Award for 2011. The award is presented annually by PCoRP to an employee of a member county or affiliate who has made outstanding contributions to their risk management program. Spargo is especially recognized for the timely and accurate reporting of incident and accidents with potential losses. PCoRP is a comprehensive insurance program administered by the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania with coverage for buildings, contents, liability and vehicles. Spargo has been employed by the Area Agency on Aging as the data and maintenance manager for CART for the past 29 years. The award, announced at the county commissioners fall conference in Hershey this past week, was presented by the commissioners of Huntingdon, Bedford and Fulton counties at the Area Agency on Aging meeting that was held in Hopewell on December 6. He was also recognized for his dedication and devotion to the CART program.
