Beta Sigma Phi News

The sisters of Xi Eta Lambda, McConnellsburg chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, were quite active over the fall months. The meeting in October concentrated on rushing two new members and donating to the needy through several Fulton County projects.

The sisters gave to the Fulton County Treasures for Kids project and made door decorations as well as assembled a basket of personal care items for the long-term care residents in Fulton County Medical Center. A bake sale was held during the Fulton Fall Folk Festival. During November, an auction was held within the chapter as a fundraiser, and cookie dough was sold. A package was sent to our service man in the Navy and an Angel Food box was purchased for a needy person.

In December, the sisters donated items to the FCMC Long-Term Care “Angels on Earth” project and also helped to wrap Christmas gifts donated to the Fulton County Treasures for Kids project. A gift certificate for yarn was given to a needy person. A Christmas dinner was held at the home of Marie Shimer where gifts were exchanged.
