McConnellsburg High School/Middle School SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) will hold its annual Snowball on Saturday, December 18.

The middle school time is from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and the high school time is from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The whole middle school will compete for the title of 2010 Snowball Prince and Princess, and six high school couples will compete for 2010 Snowball King and Queen. Both the middle school and high school are asking for donations to help their voted on community service projects: American Cancer Society and Helping to save the old MHS building. Students will collect donations from now and until December 17 at 3:30 p.m.

The following high school couples are competing: seniors – Ainsley Kendall and Dillan Hollinshead; junior Marleigh Jennings and freshman Tristin Deneen; sophomores – Courtney Miner and Tony White; freshmen Gabby Danner and Beau Wilson; freshmen Sara Beth Winegardner and Ashton Doyle and freshman Sarrah Pollock and Alex Keaton.

Last year the middle school raised $3,400, and the high school raised $2,825 for their community service projects. 2009 King Brandon Buterbaugh, Queen Emily Wenschhof, Prince Dalton Garlock and Princess Samantha Bottenfield extend their thanks for the many supporters last year and encourage everyone to support the McConnellsburg youths in their endeavor to help others. If everyone does a little, no one has to do a lot.
