Grace Bible Methodist Church of Hustontown held its annual Christmas dinner on Saturday at Golden Corral in Hagerstown.

Toby and Dena McGarvey attended the Christmas dinner given by her employer, Ventura Foods of Chambersburg. It was held in the social room of Beistle Co. on Saturday night in Shippensburg. Dena was the grand prize winner of a 32-inch television. She will celebrate 20 years with the company on December 28.

Fulton County Medical Center held its annual Christmas dinner on Friday night at the American Legion.

Forbes Road High School held its annual Snowball dance on Saturday night. Named king and queen were Jarod Henry and Kinsey Cutchall.

The vocal music department of Southern Fulton, including the high school and junior high choruses, held its Christmas concert on Sunday afternoon. A full audience enjoyed the lovely music under the direction of Dan Meredith.

Congratulations to Kenny Deshong and Brenda Ramsey, who were married on November 19.

Sally Cover, Audrey Hall, Ruth Bolinger and Cathy Pipe enjoyed an overnight trip to Allenberry Playhouse and attended the play “Becoming Santa,” last week.

Welcome back to the community Ellen Peck Summers and husband Stewart and son Bryce. Ellen has been away from this area for a number of years.

P&W held its annual Christmas party on Saturday night at the VFW with a dance following the dinner.

Mr. and Mrs. Sana Claus will be at their station on old Route 30 December 18 through December 24 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., weather permitting. Stop and visit with them.

Nancy Wible Hewett of Mechanicsburg made her annual Christmas visit to the gravesites of her parents and relatives on Saturday and also visited with some longtime friends.

The county folks woke up Monday morning to see snow-covered ground.

Congratulations to the Fulton County Community Christian School in Needmore for its participation in a Greensylvania program overseen by the Professional Recyclers of Pennsylvania (PROP). The school was named as being in the top-10 schools for recycling paper having recycled 4.5 pounds per capita. Due to the collective efforts of all participating schools, PROP announced more than 60 tons of paper were recycled, which in turn saved more than 1,020 trees, 22,800 gallons of oil, 180 cubic yards of landfill space, 240,000 kilowatts of energy and 420,000 gallons of water!
