Three-Vehicle Crash Investigated

State police from the Mc- Connellsburg substation recently investigated a threevehicle collision that occurred Thanksgiving Day along Route 475 near the intersection of Battle Ridge Road.

Reports state that John J. Cunningham of Thamesville, Ontario, lost control of his westbound Dodge truck while rounding a turn at 3:15 p.m. The truck went into the oncoming lane, where it collided head-on with a Ford truck operated by Ronald Clark of Clearfield. State police went on to report a Dodge Caravan driven by Brandy Rose Cardwell from Elizabethtown then struck the rear of Clark’s truck.

Cunningham was transported to Fulton County Medical Center, while Clark was flown to Washington County Hospital. Cardwell refused medical attention at the Dublin Township accident scene. All three drivers were wearing seat belts.

Charges are currently pending against Cunningham. State police were assisted on the scene by the Hustontown Fire Police, Hustontown and McConnellsburg Volunteer fire companies and Lilley’s Towing.
