Roger L. Seiders
Roger L. Seiders, 58, South Mountain, Pa., died Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg.
He was born in Mc- Connellsburg, July 2, 1952, the son of the late Edmund Seiders Jr. and Virginia (Garland) Seiders, who survives him, of Everett. He was the widower of Sherry Ann (Smith) Seiders.
He served in the U.S. Air Force as a SSG in the Vietnam War and also in the Air National Guard, was a member of the Moose Loyal Order of No 842 in Chambersburg, the Amvets Post# 224 in Chambersburg, the VFW and worked for Atlas Instruments in Chambersburg, as an optical instrument repairer.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by daughters: Melissa R. (wife of Trevor) DeShong of McConnellsburg; Michelle A. Seiders of Arnold, Md.; Mary T. (wife of Kevin) Jones of Mont Alto, Pa.; sisters: Mona Bookheimer of Hustontown; Denise Ramsey of Wells Tannery; Tina Dillman of Wells Tannery; brother Douglas A. Seiders of McConnellsburg; and grandchildren: Tyler L. Seiders, Kathleen Jones and MacKenzie Jones.
Services were held at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, November 27, 2010. Pastors Ruth and Harold Hollister officiated. Interment was at Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg. Military services were conducted by the Fulton Honor Guard. Online condolences at www.howardlsipes.com.
