Phony Valet Took Woman’s SUV
PITTSBURGH (AP) – Police say a man posed as a valet parking attendant outside a Pittsburgh hotel then stole a sport utility vehicle from a woman who handed over her keys.
Authorities say the man made off with the SUV on Wednesday from outside the Marriott hotel in downtown Pittsburgh. Police say he was dressed in black pants and a black shirt and told the woman he was a valet.
Investigators say she gave the man her keys and he drove off, stopping only to pick up another man about a block down the street.
WPXI-TV reported the SUV was found Thursday morning in the city’s Hill District.
