Two Injured In Monday Accident
Two McConnellsburg area residents were taken to Fulton County Medical Center by ambulance Monday evening, November 1, after sustaining moderate to major injuries during a single-vehicle accident. Driver Gregory A. Gracey, 55, and passenger Tiffany M. Hopkins, 26, were not wearing seat belts when the accident occurred along Route 30 at 6 p.m., state police said.
The crash happened when Gracey attempted to negotiate a left-hand curve in the Licking Creek Township roadway. His eastbound 1997 Ford Probe struck and travelled up an embankment before rolling onto its roof. The car then sheered off a utility pole with its front end.
Gracey will be charged by state police with driving on roadways laned for traffic.
