County Native Gives Keynote Address At National Conference
Carol Morton Tebo, SPHR, director of operations for MANTEC, a private nonprofit organization, one of seven Industrial Resource Centers located throughout Pennsylvania, and supported through the Department of Community and Economic Development, served as the keynote speaker at the 2010 Nonprofit Human Resources Conference in Washington, D.C., October 3-5, 2010.
Tebo is a graduate of Mc- Connellsburg High School and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Shippensburg University. A daughter of Mary Jane Morton and the late Jack H. Morton of Mc- Connellsburg, she holds a national certification as a Senior Professional Human Resource Certification from the Society of Human Resources Management and has been employed with MANTEC since December 2000.
In March 2010, MANTEC was selected as the Best NonProfit Organization to Work for in 2010 and Tebo was invited to present MANTEC’s journey to applying for and being selected for this recognition. There were approximately 200 human resource professionals from across the U.S. in attendance. The conference was focused on “Preparing for the Future.”
Tebo is married to David P. Tebo, who is employed as a program manager with BAE Systems, York, and a retired colonel from the U.S. Army Reserves. They reside in Lancaster, Pa.
