FCCCS To Hold Dinner-Auction

Fulton County Community Christian School’s Christmas dinner-auction will be held Saturday, November 13, 2010, at Needmore Bible Church, located at 6939 Great Cove Road, Needmore. The silent auction will begin at 3:30 p.m., followed by a buffet dinner at 5:30 p.m. The traditional auction will begin at 6:30 p.m. Dinner reservations are required. Cost for adults is $8, children 6-12 is $4. Children under age 6 are free. For those who simply wish to attend the auction there is no charge.

For the sportsmen, there are a Thompson Center 243 cal. Venture rifle, a Traditions 50 cal. break-open Pursuit muzzleloader, a Marlin 22 cal. camouflage bolt action rifle, Tasco 4x30 Pronghorn scope, hunting knives, fishing poles and more.

Other auction items already received and waiting to go to the highest bidder include another beautiful, handcrafted cedar chest donated by Donald Snyder of Snyder’s Woodworking of Needmore, as well as other handcrafted furniture and wooden items, quilt, afghans and other handmade items, framed prints, antiques and collectibles, jewelry, decorative items, toys, and, as always, those mouth-watering homemade pies, cakes, and candies that fuel the friendly bidding wars for these delectable goodies.

For maintenance work, ProAer and Palmer Construction are offering up for bid free delivery of a one-week 40-foot Manlift rental, and for beautifying a property, two yards of brown mulch will be delivered by Morton’s Feed Mill to the successful bidder.

The general public is invited to come out for a delicious meal and an evening of fun and great bargains while lending support to FCCCS. Donations of items for both auctions are being accepted and are greatly appreciated.
