Three Injured In Two-Vehicle Crash

State police in Chambersburg reported 67-yearold Howard E. Taylor from Hagerstown, Md., pulled from a stop sign at the intersection of Shimpstown Road and Ft. Loudon Road in Montgomery Township, Franklin County, on Sunday, October 24, and into the path of a northbound 2006 Toyota Rav 4 driven by Jeremiah W. Carbaugh, 30, of McConnellsburg. Carbaugh’s vehicle became engulfed in flames as a result of the damage.

Taylor, Carbaugh and Carbaugh’s passenger, Amanda J. Carbaugh, 30, also from McConnellsburg, were all wearing seat belts. They were transported to Washington and Fulton County hospitals. Carbaugh’s second passenger, a female juvenile, was restrained in a child safety seat. It is unknown if she suffered injuries, but she was transported to the hospital.

Taylor will be charged with a stop-sign violation in connection with the 3:14 p.m. accident.
