Alice M. Boden
She was born December 22, 1930, in Sleepy Creek, W.Va., a daughter of the late Jesse H. Clingerman and Flo I. (Vann) Clingerman.
On June 26, 1950, in Winchester, Va., she married Robert W. Boden, who passed away on March 1, 1957.
She is survived by their children: Linda J. Gaynor and husband James “Buck” Gaynor, Everett; Wanda J. Trail and husband Rick Trail, Needmore; E. Grace Armstrong and husband Roy “Jim” Armstrong, Hancock; George F. Boden and wife Annie (Trail) Boden, Little Orleans, Md.; 13 grandchildren: Gary Steiner, Tammy Ferrell, Leslie Boden, Eric Trail, Tony Trail, Jenny Hoover, Kristen Jenkins, Willy Armstrong, Denise Youngblood, Heather Starliper, Amanda Zahm, Robert Boden and Steven Boden; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Pauline Barker, and husband Dick Barker, Hancock; a brother, David Clingerman, and wife Caroline, Hancock; and several loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine Wertman; and three brothers: Jesse Clingerman, Donald Clingerman and Charles “Sonny” Clingerman.
She was of the Christian faith. After her husband, Bob, passed away, she stayed at home to raise and care for their children and, in 1967, she began working at Weavers Restaurant in Hancock as a cook and baker, and also helped to run the restaurant in any way she could.
At home, she enjoyed cooking and baking, working puzzles, and singing pleasantly as she went about her home. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 22, at 11:00 a.m., at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Everett. Rev. Curtis Bryant officiated. Burial was made in Fairview Cemetery.
