SZWYDEK

In memory of Steven W. Szwydek, USMC, 4/18/1985 – 10/20/2005: In memory of Steven W. Szwydek, USMC, 4/18/1985 – 10/20/2005: THE GIFT

No words can express all the pain and the grief,

A message, the storm of emotions and disbelief.

How could this happen, he was such a good man,

He was fighting for freedom in a faraway land.

We cried and we mourned with others that day

Expressions of sadness, anger and rage.

Well wishes from all as they shared sorrow and pain

His death not in vain, freedom will reign.

You were a gift, sent from above

You brought us joy, and unfailing love

Sent to this earth, a purpose to achieve

Your mission of freedom for all who believe.

I will not falter, nor will I fail

I’ll look to the cross, bloodstains and nails.

A path was chosen many years before,

The gift of Christ Jesus, our Savior and Lord.

Life on this earth will pass by and by

Through sorrows and joy, you will be glorified.

I will pray for peace to envelope this world

The answers, in time, as God’s plan is unfurled.

You are the gift, sent from above

You bring us joy, and unfailing love

Sent to this earth, a purpose achieved

Grace, Freedom and Life for all who believe.

Five years ago a hero was called to heaven. He touched the lives of people he knew and didn’t know, and the world is a better place because of him.
We love and miss you
Steven.
You are and always will
be our hero.
Love,
Mom and Dad
