Annetta Hartman was presented with the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest award a Girl Scout can earn, on October 14, 2010, by her troop’s leader, Christina Beam.

Annetta had previously earned both the Bronze and Silver Girl Scout Awards. Annetta’s Gold award project established the Teen Art Contest at the Fulton County Library. She also organized the library’s Teen Advisory Board and Teen Nights. The teen art contest is held yearly (the next contest is in February), while the Teen Advisory Board and teen nights are monthly events. Jamie Brambley, director of the Fulton County Library, supported Annetta as her mentor.

Annetta is a Senior Girl Scout with Troop 40440 of Berkeley Springs and a sophomore in the PA Virtual Charter School. She is the daughter of Michael Hartman and Julia Delpino of Needmore.
