Amish Logger Killed In Western PA Woods
HOOKSTOWN, Pa. (AP) – A coroner says an Amish logger has been killed after he was pinned between an already cut log and another he was working on in a remote section of western Pennsylvania.
Beaver County Coroner Teri Tatalovich-Rossi tells the Beaver County Times that state police and a deputy from her office were called to the scene in Greene Township about 3 p.m. Thursday. She says the location was so remote, it took officials 30 minutes to get there using all-terrain vehicles.
The coroner has yet to release the man’s name, but says he was Amish and was working with other family members at the site. The man was from Mercer County.
The coroner says the man died of blunt force trauma to the abdomen.
