Hustontown

By Kate Berkstresser

This weekend was beautiful. The leaves are turning colors. This makes for beautiful scenery for the Fulton Fall Folk Festival.

A large amount of vendors will be set up at the Barn on Route 522 north of Mc- Connellsburg. Lots of items for everyone. A good place to browse and enjoy the day.

Fulton County Quilt Club display will be at the Fulton Theatre in McConnellsburg. Stop by and see the beautiful quilts of Fulton County.

Visitors in the home of Steve and Delilah Redinius and Marvin and Elner DeShong were Matt and Rachel Redenius of New Market, Minn. They also stopped to visit Kate Berkstresser on Monday morning.

Cindy Glessner, Helen Clusman and Kate Berkstresser visited with Whrelda Pittman at Menno Village in Scotland, Pa., on Sunday afternoon. Whrelda was formerly from Fulton County. They are Fulton County Quilt Club members.

Glad to hear Judy Russack is doing well after having foot surgery.

Riley Black, son of Maynard and Rhonda Black, celebrated his eighth birthday on Sunday evening at a party with family and friends.

Sorry to hear Lois Mc- Gowan is not feeling so well. We send speedy recovery wishes her way.

Peter Russard was speaker at Knobsville United Methodist Church on Sunday filling in for Pastor Bill as he was speaking at one of his former churches.

Hope everyone gets out to enjoy the festival activities. Also, enjoy the food at Hustontown Firehall. The roast beef dinner is Friday, at 5:00 p.m. All-you-can-eat homemade slippery potpie (ham, beef or chicken) will be served Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and a chicken barbecue also on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. An open stage will be Saturday at 6:00 p.m. On Sunday will be the all-you-can-eat smorgasbord at 11:00.m.

Household hint: To make warm soda cans cold quickly, place about an inch of water in cooler and add ice and some salt. They will be cold in no time.
