Southern Fulton 0
The Forbes Road Cardinals outshot the Southern Fulton Indians 27 to 5 on Monday and rolled to a 3-0 Sideling Hill League victory. Dustin Shef-field, Dakota DeShong and Presley Swope each had a goal, and teammates Mi-chael Runk, Donovan Bricker and Chase Shaw added assists. Tanner Henry, goalie, preserved the shutout with three saves.
Conemaugh Township 9
Conemaugh Township scored a whopping nine goals Saturday against the McConnellsburg Spartans, who saw their record fall to 3-5-1. Dillan Hollinshead racked up 24 saves in goal for the Spartans.
Forbes Road 3 Hyndman 0
Forbes Road snapped its four game losing streak on Wednesday scoring three unanswered goals against the Hyndman Hornets. Dustin Sheffield and Kim Sealock had two and one goals, respectively, while Donovan Bricker, Michael Runk and Dakota DeShong each added an assist. Tanner Henry recorded the shutout with eight saves in goal.
Northern Bedford 8
The McConnellsburg Spartans’ season record fell below .500 on Wednesday with Northern Bedford easily walking away with the 8- 0 Sideling Hill League victory. Goalie Dillan Hollinshead closed out the game with 10 saves.
Everett 5 Southern Fulton 2
Southern Fulton outshot the Everett Warriors by a margin of 15-6 and also led in corners, but the Warriors still prevailed by the final score of 5-2 last Wednesday. Chase Horton scored both goals for the Indians during the Sideling Hill League game.

Southern Fulton downed both West Branch and Juniata Valley for a clean sweep of last Tuesday’s Inter-County Conference meet held in Warfordsburg. Josh Voight again took top honors for the Indians with a second-place overall finish after posting a time of 19:36. Briar Kirk recorded a time of 19:46 for a third-place ranking, while Zane Baker was in fifth, finishing the race in 20:47. Jacob Ashkettle (21:21) and Tim Mottern (21:56) rounded out the meet in eighth and tenth place respectively.

Five members of the Southern Fulton Lady Indians cross-country team placed within the top-10 finishers at last Tuesday’s Inter County Conference meet held against West Branch and Juniata Valley. Jenna Hollenshead clinched first place for the Indians with an overall time of 22:02. Teammate Macey Hollenshead recorded a time of 23:22 and earned a third-place ranking. Lacey Beatty (24:00) and Mariah Hill (25:15) finished in fourth and fifth place respectively. Taelor Morton’s time of 26:34 resulted in an eighth-place finish.

St. James 1
Forbes Road made 45 shots against St. James goalkeeper Megan McFellon, with seven finding the back of the goal cage, for the 7-1 non-league win on Saturday. Sammie Clippinger had four of the Lady Cardinals’ goals, and Megan Keller contributed two. Kaili Hockensmith rounded out the day with one goal and three assists. Erin McQuait tallied two assists, and Keller and Corri Parson each had an assist as well.
McConnellsburg rallied for two unanswered goals in each period Monday night against Meyersdale. During the 4-0 non-league win Nikki Fleming had two goals and was followed by Santana Ramsey and Sarra Kendall, who each added one. Libby Strayer dished out two assists, and teammate Kylie Zittle handed out one. Sarrah Pollock mad six saves in goal for the shutout.
Conemaugh Township 3
Goalkeeper Sarrah Pollock totalled 14 saves for the McConnellsburg Spartans, who fell to Conemaugh Township 3-0 on Saturday. The loss brings the Lady Spartans’ season record to 6- 4-1.
Northern Bedford 2
A double overtime last Wednesday ended in a 2-2 for the McConnellsburg Lady Spartans and the Northern Bedford Panthers. During the Sideling Hill League match, Libby Strayer totalled both a goal and an assist, while Nikki Fleming added the remaining goal. Sydney Kerlin finished the game with an assist. Goalkeeper Sarrah Pollock tallied nine saves.
Mount Union 3
Southern Fulton 2
Southern Fulton was close to picking up its first win of the fall 2010 season Monday night, but Mount Union prevailed winning the non-league match 3-2. Whitney Ritz rallied for 25 kills, six blocks, three aces and 10 service points, and Masey Brown followed with 18 kills, four blocks and 11 service points. Abby Hawkins dished out 30 assists, and Kelsey Truax and Ashley Sigel had 18 and 11 digs, respectively.
Chestnut Ridge 3
The McConnellsburg Spartans were handed their second loss of the season on Tuesday, with Chestnut Ridge walking away with the Sideling Hill League victory 25-15, 25-21 and 25-15. Valerie Green handed out 10 assists and added six digs and two aces. Emily Watkins followed with five kills, and Rikki Green tallied four kills and seven blocks. Jess Nero finished out the match with five digs.

McConnellsburg Junior High soccer won an away game at Shalom Christian Academy last Friday. The final score was 2-1. Goals were scored by Samatha Roberts and Jacob Boehme.
Chestnut Ridge 4
McConnellsburg Junior High soccer tied in an away game at Chestnut Ridge on Monday. The final score was 4-4. Samatha Roberts and Justin Welsh each scored one goal, while Jacob Boehme scored two goals for the Spartans. (4-3-2).
Chesnut Ridge 1
McConnellsburg Junior High volleyball won its home game last Tuesday night against Chestnut Ridge. Final score was first game 18- 25, second game 26-24 and third game 15-11.
McConnellsburg Junior High Volleyball won its away game last Thursday evening against Everett. Final score for the game was 27-25.
