Warfordsburg FFA Takes First At All American Dairy Judging

Fifteen members of the Warfordsburg FFA headed to Harrisburg, Pa., on September 21 for the All American Dairy Judging Competition.

Following a day of judging dairy animals of all breeds and taking a 20 question test pertaining to dairy information and facts, the FFA students headed home with hopeful thoughts. Results from the competition showed that Warfordsburg came out on top, placing first out of 24 teams. Team members included Zack Arentz, Michael Fogal, Justin Fogal and Bradley Carbaugh. Individually, Justin Fogal placed first, Zachary Strait placed second, Zack Arentz placed third, and Michael Fogal placed 13th out of a total of 275 students. The day was a huge success, and it is believed that this is the first time the Warfordsburg FFA walked away from the competition with blue ribbons. The students will be recognized at the October board meeting, where they will also be receiving awards and checks.
