Walnut Grove Jr. Youth Group is sponsoring a Fall Fun Day on Sunday, October 10, at 11:30 a.m., at the fellowship

building on Wible Reunion Maddens-ville. Road, Maddens-ville. Special music will be provided by Blessed Friends. Ham and bean soup, chicken corn soup, hotdogs, cider, etc. will be available, donations accepted. There will also be a cake walk, games and prizes for the kids. All are welcome.

Guests in the home of Ruth Grissinger last Saturday evening were Danny Shoop, Frank Robinson, LeighAnn and Donnie McAllen, Beatle and Herbie Eaton, Dodie Price, Steff Cochran, Nin Hiles Jr., Renee Anderson and Tim Hamman.

Tom and Mamie Streightiff attended the wedding of Ethan Anderson and Erin Hall on Saturday. Ethan is the son of Leonard and Bonita Anderson and Erin is the daughter of Mike and Liana Hall.

Brian and Micah Ramsey visited with Roger and Pat Ramsey on Saturday.

Roger and Pat Ramsey attended the Fred Fleming family annual pig roast on Sunday afternoon.

Steve and Terri Grissinger attended the Penn State game last Saturday, while Karen Grissinger enjoyed some State College shopping.

Three Springs Fire Co. will be hosting a chicken barbecue dinner on Sunday, October 17, beginning at 11 a.m.

Donna Locke, Ruth Grissinger, and Brayden and Amanda Locke spent Saturday near Carlisle watching Cameron Locke’s team win a ball game. The win was a nice ending to a beautiful day, and Cameron’s win earned him dinner at Cracker Barrel restaurant.

Casual Sunday evening worship services will resume at Orbisonia United Methodist Church beginning at 6:30 pm. .

Prayers and get well wishes for Ted Leab, who begins chemotherapy this week.

Orbisonia UMC fundraising committee will be selling homemade apple dumplings on Saturday and Sunday during East Broad Top Fall Spectacular.

Visiting recently with the Steve and Karen Grissinger family were Maddison Wible, Travis Madden, Ramon Martin, Brent Carlson, Irene Park, Donna Locke and Tom and Mamie Streightiff.

Tom and Mamie Streightiff traveled to Washington, D.C., last weekend to attend the Atlanta Braves game but were duped by a time change. After game plans were changed, they enjoyed visiting the Washington Zoo with son Tim Streightiff.

Angel Wings will be sponsoring a benefit auction on Saturday, October 23, at 5 p.m at the Orbisonia United Methodist Outreach Center, with Steve Price as auctioneer. A food stand will be available. All proceeds will be donated to Stacy Kreis and family. Anyone with items to donate to the auction or food stand can contact Ruth Grissinger at 814- 447-5521. To schedule a drop-off of auction items at the building, please contact Ruth, Pastor Ed at 447-3672 or Bonnie Rose at 447-3504. All items will be sold.

The Fulton Fall Folk Festival activities will be held October 14 to October 17.
