Oxycotin Found

A traffic stop by state police troopers at the intersection of Heritage Drive and Route 30 in Ayr Township revealed oxycotin and a loaded .22 rifle.

Police reported the vehicle driven by 27-year-old Josiah Aaron DeShong was pulled over on Tuesday, September 21, at 4 p.m. as the McConnellsburg man was wanted on an existing traffic warrant. DeShong was allegedly found in possession of the items, and an evaluation revealed he was under the influence of drugs. In addition to being picked up on the warrant, DeShong will be charged with the Act 64 and gun violations.
