Ronald C. Dick
Ronald Charles Dick, 66, McConnellsburg, Pa., died Saturday afternoon, September 18, 2010, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born December 1, 1943, in Everett, Pa., he was the son of Charles Robert Dick, who survives, of Bedford, and the late Grace Myrtle (Ritchey) Dick. He was married to Debbie Seville on January 27, 1978. She survives at their home.
He is survived by the following children; Ronald C. “Chip” Dick II, Wells Tannery; Julie Ann Carson and husband Anthony, Austintown, Ohio; Annette “Gidget” Grace Corle and husband Howard “Jake,” New Paris, Pa.; Veronica Gimber, Mc- Connellsburg; Lisa Dick, Knobsville; and Robert Dick, St. Thomas; 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
In earlier years, he worked at Reynolds Metal, Bristol, Va., later at JLG Industries, McConnellsburg, and then retired as a truck driver with Arnold Transportation.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 to 1967.
He was a member of the VFW, Everett, and the American Legion, Fort Loudon.
An avid horseman, he also enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at the M. R. Brown Funeral Home. Pastor William Kuhn officiated. Interment was made in Asbury Cemetery, Everett.
Memorial contributions should be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
