Husband, Wife Die In Three Spr ings Accident

Car hits concrete abutment

A husband and wife from the Three Springs area, who were well known in northern Fulton County, died in a crash in Three Springs Borough last Friday afternoon.

Pennsylvania State Police, Huntingdon, said driver Jeanann B. Kough, 65, and 75-year-old passenger Edgar B. Kough died as a result of injuries suffered in the September 17 accident along Hudson Street.

According to investigating officer Trooper Cory Despot, the Koughs’ 2007 Chrysler Town and Country ran onto the berm for unknown reasons at 2:15 p.m. and crashed into a concrete bridge abutment just west of the intersection of Stone Quarry Road. Neither Jeanann or Edgar Kough was wearing a seat belt when the crash occurred.

State police were assisted on the scene by the Three Springs Fire Co., Three Springs Ambulance Co. and the Huntingdon County Coroner’s Office.
