Two passengers in a northbound 2004 Pontiac Grand Am sustained minor injuries during a crash along Route 655 in Taylor Township over the weekend.
According to state police, 29-year-old Lisa Marie Hardy and a 9-year-old female, both of Mapleton Depot, were not wearing seat belts when the accident occurred on Sunday, September 12. Driver Calvin Duane Hardy, 39, of Mapleton was also not utilizing a seat belt but escaped harm.
The injuries were sustained at 3:57 p.m. when Calvin Hardy allegedly lost control of his car while swerving to miss hitting a dog. The Pontiac went off the roadway and struck an embankment.
