Fatal Crash Near County Line

A motorcycle accident over the weekend claimed the life of a North Huntingdon, Pa., man just north of the Huntingdon/Fulton County line.

Pennsylvania State Police from Huntingdon reported, the Saturday, September 11, accident in Clay Township occurred when 49- year-old William Christian Charles failed to negotiate a left-hand curve in the roadway. The northbound 2009 Kawasaki Concours traveled onto the berm and slid into a tree.

Police did not report if Charles was wearing a helmet during the 4:30 p.m. crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Huntingdon County Coroner Dave McGarvey.

State police were aided on the scene by the Hustontown Volunteer Fire Co. and Three Springs Ambulance Co.
