Harold and Betty Hershey will observe their 62nd wedding anniversary on September 18, and Ted and Kellie Gress will observe their sixth wedding anniversary on September 18.

Pastor Chris and Lindsay Martin have moved into their newly purchased home on North Third Street. They are awaiting the new addition to the family.

Leila Strait moved to The Shook Home on Sunday, September 12.

Sympathy goes out to the family of Woodrow Keefer Sr., who passed away last week, just a few days after his wife’s death.

McConnellsburg United Presbyterian Church sponsored a bus trip to sight and Sound Theatre to see “Joseph” and a meal at Hershey Farms on Saturday.

Bob and Martha Culler Cutchall of Zullinger, and formerly of Fulton County, visited relatives in the area over the weekend and attended the joint Lutheran Church picnic in Big Cove Tannery on Sunday.

Trevor and Pat Kent of Redditch, England, are visiting with Tom and Delores Christian this week.

The Mt. Zion, St. Paul and St. Paul’s Lutheran Churches held their annual joint picnic on Sunday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Big Cove Tannery with a church service and good food.

Maggie Riggs of South Second Street spent time last week visiting with daughter Leslie, grandson Marshall and great-grandson Rowan at Leslie’s North Myrtle Beach, S.C., home. Traveling with Maggie were her son, Bobby of Freeland, Wash., daughter Lindsay Mellott and grandson Bobby Mellott, both of Needmore.
